Schooner Freda B offers professional Ash Scatterings, Sea Burials, Memorials at Sea, and Celebrations of Life on the San Francisco Bay. We have an experienced team that provides impeccable services for family and friends throughout the entire process.
The schooner is an ideal memorial venue for up to 49 guests. We provide the tradition of a tall-ship, with the elegance and comfort of a yacht.
Ash Scattering and Memorial Rates
Mornings generally offer the calmest conditions for an ash scattering or memorial service. We offer a special 2-hour memorial rate for morning charters. Please visit our Private Sail Pricing page for more details.
Additions
You may choose to bring to your event:
- Flowers, especially from one of our local shops in Sausalito
- An officiant or religious leader of your choice
- An acoustic musician or vocalist (will count towards passenger capacity)
- Portable speaker or personalized playlist to use with our on board stereo system
As part of our service, we will provide the GPS latitude and longitude coordinates of the scattering site.
Client families are required to obtain the necessary permits from their mortuary, crematory or local Department of Health, and bring it with them on the day of the charter. We are unable to handle remains at any time.
