Schooner Freda B is an inspected vessel. She is certified for up to 49 passengers by the United States Coast Guard. The comfortable capacity is 38 guests or fewer.
“Schooner Freda B” is searchable on Google/Apple Maps. That is the location for boarding in Sausalito.
For parking, we recommend the municipal lots surrounding Sausalito Yacht Harbor. Parking cost is per hour, and the closest are Parking Lot #2 and Parking Lot #3 (searchable on maps).
Once parked, walk north towards The Spinnaker restaurant. You’ll soon come across a wooden boardwalk that leads to our dock (Slip 465). Look for the two red masts!
If you are lost, search “Schooner Freda B” on any Maps app. Or, see your ticket confirmation for the “boat phone” number to call.
We operate rain or shine. We sail in light rain, mist, fog and wind.
We do not typically experience extreme weather during the sailing season. The Port Captain is the only person who may cancel a charter due to the weather. If there is extreme weather and the captain deems it unsafe to operate, we will offer a reschedule or a refund. Extreme weather in the Bay Area is categorized as heavy rain, extremely strong wind or unsafe air quality. The captain will be contacting you within 72-24 hours before your event in such a case.

Passengers may bring simple picnic style food, but we adhere to the simple rule of ‘Pack it in, Pack it out’, meaning everyone must take their own garbage off the vessel at the end of the sail.

The Freda B is a large and comfortable vessel. She provides a safe and smooth ride through the seas. Unlike many types of fishing boats that buck in the current or small sailboats that heel excessively, the Freda B glides nicely for a safe and sturdy ride.
If you are susceptible to motion sickness, be sure to take necessary precautions. We do not provide any medication on board. Individuals concerned about motion sickness are encouraged to contact their doctor to discuss options. Please follow the directions if you are taking medications.
