Freda B’s homeport is Sausalito Yacht Harbor’s southern edge, right next to a spacious waiting platform and just a few steps from The Spinnaker Restaurant. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your sail is scheduled to ensure you do not miss the boat.
Meeting point: “Schooner Freda B” : Slip 465, Sausalito Yacht Harbor, Sausalito, CA 94965.
Don’t navigate to “Sausalito Yacht Harbor” as that will take you to the harbor office on the opposite side of the marina.
Guests may be dropped off in front of our dock, including rideshare. Please don’t park in The Spinnaker Restaurant’s parking lot.
Parking Details
We recommend the municipal lots surrounding Sausalito Yacht Harbor. Parking cost is per hour, and Parking Lot #3 (searchable on Maps) usually has the most space. “Sausalito Books by the Bay” at 100 Bay Street is a central address for parking.
For the closest parking, take a right at 100 Bay Street and park in spaces 1113-1159 (within “Tour Bus Parking Lot“).
Once parked, walk north towards The Spinnaker Restaurant. You’ll soon come across a boardwalk that leads to our dock (Slip 465). Look for the two red masts!
Public Transportation
Golden Gate Transit and Blue and Gold ferries and buses operate between San Francisco and Sausalito. You can check the current schedule (varies by season) with the links below.
From the Sausalito ferry landing, walk north (away from San Francisco).
Alternatively, there is a taxi stand at the corner of Bridgeway and Anchor st. Ride-sharing services like UBER and Lyft are helpful resources for traveling locally and to/from San Francisco without a personal car.
Driving from San Francisco/Golden Gate Bridge: Exit Highway 101 north at the second exit after the Golden Gate Bridge onto Alexander Avenue. Follow signs for 1.6 miles into downtown Sausalito. The Schooner Freda B will be on the right in the Sausalito Yacht Harbor, slip 465. The best option for parking is Municipal Lot 3. Please do not park in the Spinnaker Restaurant’s parking lot.
Driving from San Rafael: From Highway 101 south, exit at Sausalito/Marin City. At the first light, turn left and go under the freeway. Follow signs to downtown Sausalito via Bridgeway. The harbor is 2 miles south on the left. The best option for parking is Municipal Lot 3. Please do not park in the Spinnaker Restaurant’s parking lot.
